    Cutting back on BR

Still unwilling to return to BJ, not willing to risk life, I have taken off $15k (from my $75k) from my BR as I don’t see returning anytime soon.

With Covid sky high in my town this week, with son commuting to college, hanging with friends and returning home, with spouse working at dental office and going about her business, albeit masked, I don’t feel all that safe at home.

So, with some of my BR, I am heading out, road tripping, tomorrow. Plan is to cross my state, into Kansas, stay overnight and then into Colorado. Since, I hav3 been to the Rockies, Denver and sights along I-70, plan to hit a few cities...Limon, Colorado Springs, Poncho Springs, over the Continental divide to Grand Junction and Moab, UT.

In Utah, a day or two roaming around national parks. I might visit Las Vegas but don’t see the point if casinos are not safe. Might rest up a couple of days there before heading back.

Anyone done any of these places?

Colorado Springs is nice if you like natural scenery -- the Garden of the Gods is lovely for a short hike. Also Cave of the Winds a bit south of the Gardens. Finally, of course there is Pikes Peak in the same area. If you're taking that route over to the Western Slope, you might also consider checking out Royal Gorge Bridge, another lovely scenic spot. Not sure of your time schedule, but Sand Dunes National Park isn't very far off the general route. If you're interested in low stakes BJ, there's Cripple Creek not far from the Springs.

I think what you're doing is a reasonable idea. With your son commuting, your home is probably more dangerous for Covid than a casino.

Before going, suggest you check out Covid restrictions in the various states and National Parks. I read the Utah is having a huge spike now and Colorado isn't far behind.

Been to Moab several times. The Nat'l Parks there are great. Canyonlands is where the iconic car going over cliff scene from Thelma and Louise took place. Rather than taking the most direct route, get off the interstate and take Rt 128 ( https://www.discovermoab.com/scenic-byways/ ) A number of old Westerns were filmed there. You should spend more than a day or two there. If you don't already have it, you can buy a National Parks senior pass which will give you access to all the national parks in the country for the rest of your life.

Be aware it's already winter in the Rockies. You could take MWP along as a winter consultant.

Zee, you will have to learn how to make a Yooper left hand turn in winter conditions. This is how it is done in the U.P.

Hello Midwest player, I recently returned from Southwest Colorado by RV and Grand Tetons Jackson Wyoming...... both pleasure trips with no
Gaming. The lack of social distancing in Telluride Colorado and Jackson Wyoming tourist areas we're extremely disappointing so be careful on the road

If your in the high risk endangered group just wear a mask. Get the 3M P-95 model 8577 respirator mask. They are the good ones. My girlfriend is a dr and gets them. I think you can get them on eBay. Amazon won’t sell them unless you are a first aide worker. It’s a very good mask. Not the cheap shit.

Since I'm forced to return to the smoke-filled casinos, I could use a mask that filters out tobac smoke.

I’m not sure if they protect against smoke. Look up 3M website. Also I don’t know if you can but try to buy one mask to make sure if they are comfortable to wear all day. I’m always taking it on and off.

I was thinking to wear the protective gear that they use when dealing with a nuclear accident like Fukushima.
