You got me on this one as I have yet to meet anyone willing to bet their own max bet on any positive true count. I suppose this situation could be found in a large banked team play who is unconcerned with risk. A rare situation indeed. I still think that the example that you gave is stupid, and confusing considering the market of newer players you were trying to reach in the video.
You both miss the obvious situation where this is done, and I've seen it done. Some venues have low maxess, anywhere from $100-300. Or even lower. I recall seeing a casino in S. America where the max was the equivalent of about $40. In those cases, it's not far-fetched at all.
I do agree with you, Eliot, on the math on this. But the volatility would be more than most can handle. There would have to be some proviso's here for most. Bet size in relation to bankroll would have to be defined would it not?
While Yes, there are other AP plays but really, this board is mostly aimed at BJ. Would you truly opine that most AP plays are related to Blackjack only? Without disclosing those methods in detail specifically, maybe some illumination or description would be appropriate.
I know.....I know ............this thread has gone immediately off topic like Don complains about but it is STILL a very good thread!!!!
