    Counting Guidance: Beginner

Seeking a crash course before dedicating the hours to mastering.

For someone with the following criteria what counting system do you recommend:
    1) Beginner
    2) Plan to play 6 deck (DSA, RSA, etc.) occasionally play double deck
    3) When proficient, greenie play with appropriate spread and low ROR
    4) Hobbyist (maintaining full time job, likely dedicate 100-200 hrs/year on AP)

I was mentally prepared to master Hi Lo but while reading "Burning the Tables" last night I was put on to ReKO (or KO). Any guidance or food for thought would be appreciated.

Thanks. I was generally looking for a push in one direction or the other. Can I infer that you meant that it's a horse apiece either way?

Pretty much. If you think you might ever play on a team, go HiLo, as that is the "standard."

Roger. Do not foresee this ever being the case and if it does I can learn another system.

Agreed yet for the timeframe and purpose I have I think I'll roll with KO. No need to buy a discard tray for deck estimation, simple running count, etc.

If you occasionally play DD then you might want to consider Zen by Arnold Snyder
