You are doing lots of sims for lots of different scenarios. What makes more sense to me is look at the games you have access to, then sim those. If you have local games, that's where you should start. If you are making a trip, look at the games, go back to your hotel room, and run them on your laptop.

What you'll find, as you gain experience, is you can tell how good a game is, and how you should attack it, just by looking at it. Running hundreds of sims with all combinations of rules, game speed (another very important factor), number of players and penetration seems confusing and pointless.

Change your spreads shoe by shoe depending on cut.
Going off and continuing 21forme's suggested idea of simming your locals and with various combinations of conditions. Here's one crappy local I know.

H17, DAS, 6/8 deck pen, 1-16 spread: (4 players - I know 21forme said to check out all scenarios, but also said its pointless. So what # of players should I put then?)

    %W/L = 0.550%
    SCORE = 6.66

So what are the options to approach this in terms of do I play and is it worth my time and profitable? (Yes i know one answer could be I should find a better store lol)

First, your win rate per 100 rounds is virtually identical regardless of heads up or a full table. The big difference is hands per hour, which clearly makes a huge difference on earnings. Use that explanation, determine what you want to earn per hour and make your decision accordingly. Personally, I don’t care for rules and decks stated. I would bend a bit with surrender, but I don’t care for 8 deck, and for that matter, 8 deck with 6/8. I’ll play it with 6 deck 4.5/6.

Second, im still at Starbucks, but that looks like about .65 he depending on this or that. This translates to Break even at about TC 1.5. You need to ramp fast and heavy as soon as you surpass TC 1.5.

Third, consider Halves with regaled FBM ASC Advanced Dual Ramp. This will help you determine QTC and will assist you in your endeavours. I laid the gauntlet for Snarky to determine the fundamentals of benefit, however, his affliction of Debatus Interruptus has him opt out before he finishes the job.

Here's the strategy for that game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T3y3FPNFGc

Your only option for that game is back count and only play positive counts. it's virtually a worthless game.

No, unless there are some dealers I know do cut deeper (and I try to learn their schedule in casual conversation). There are plenty of casinos within reach that I don't play for one reason of another - poor games, sweat level, etc.

Sounds like you are not about biting down the mouth piece and slugging it out. Good to hear. Before I rest easy, if you could give me another one of your insight. For 6 and 8 decks, what is your recommended minimum deck pen?

    4.25/6 ?
    6.5/8 ?

    4.5/6
I avoid 8 deck at almost all cost, but I'll play 7/8.

Is a thread title where you stuck your head up your ass at least 4 times, and kept shoving it in deeper and deeper in your desire to throw crap on the wall (unsuccessfully). The thread earned you your degree in Debatus Interruptus after your gleeful Incorrect commentary and withdrawal - meddling which you finally realized was wrong to the nth degree. To refresh your memory, said thread pertained to replenishable bankroll.

Interruptus pertains to your sudden withdrawal with no apologies seeking only to
reemerge at some future date, as you have done on other occasions, only to rinse and repeat.

Withdrawal seems to be a strategy you excel at.

Like you (as you claim), I have an impeccable memory. Unlike you, I can back up what I say. I liked the link. Might use it some time.

A concept that appears to have been missed. I know a particular deader than a door nail hi limit room that won’t reshuffle for the existing player if he leaves and returns with no other player coming in to play.

In such a case, with both good and bad dealers, I will consider shitty pen as providing a lost leader to the house while waiting for the replacement. I’m not always right on replacement, but 8m prepared to take the chance.

I remember you saying good deck pen makes up for poor rules, and S17 makes up for poor deck pen. Does this apply to S17, 8 deck? If so at what deck pen?

Actually, I play so little 8 deck, I don’t want to say categorically. I really don’t like 8 deck, and I won’t play 8 deck lousy pen. I will play 6 deck lousy pen.

The closest S17 game to me is close to a 3 hour plane ride, so it’s not a big deal for me. It’s such an advantageous rule, that the game, otherwise would have to be really lousy for me to walk away from.

Having said that and given a choice of games, I’ll pick what’s best for my style of play and that may not be necessarily the best rule set.

Perhaps Snarky can delight us with his infinite wisdom.

Do you have BJA3? Have you referred to the pages I referenced? All of your answer are there! For 8-deck, see pages 214-215.
