Playing conditions have changed. Rules have changed. And in my estimation, NONE for the better. Every time I go to a casino, they remove some thing or rule, that used to be "friendly". Surrender. Quit allowing RSA. Quit hand dealt games. Man, this game is nothing what I used to play; almost unrecognizable. I think that houses are apparently using this pandemic to remove any player favorable rules whatsoever. I just had a decent night playing but MAN were the changes frustrating.

I won't name the casino, but it USED to be the best place in Oklahoma to play BJ by far in my opinion considering all factors.

They used to have dealer hand held dealt games (double deck). Removed because they want to be "safe" for pandemic and added more shoe tables. I asked why they didn't deal from a shoe like Vegas did for double deck; even single deck games like El Cortez. No answer.

I follow safe procedure myself. Shoot............my cologne is probably hand sanitizer now. LOL Because I like playing cards and making a little extra money, Zee. It's no addiction; it's just the nice feeling of being able to beat a game that has a slight edge by using my head. And I enjoy free vacations or almost free vacations. As to being worried about Covid, I have no underlying health conditions and the numbers ratio wise are so small, I choose to take that risk with precautions.

I don't like the changing playing conditions and it may get to a point, I quit playing unless I learn enough to beat the game with all it's new facets. Eventually, the casinos may make it unbeatable and I will quit. I have learned a little about AP play in other areas but I am not as experienced there and to be honest, it's boring. I enjoy the interaction on card games.

Oh, c'mon................do I have to draw a picture? Hand held and dealt by dealer (like single deck or most double deck) v. shoe games with 6 decks or more. During these "pandemic" times, many casinos have changed or dropped their hand held games due to fears of contamination.

How does a hand held and dealt game better than when the dealer puts the shuffled cards in a shoe and then uses his hand to pull card out and place it in front of You?

    You make no sense.

Jesus...........this is getting monotonous, Zee. Yes,pitch games. Removal of pitch games...............no matter HOW dealt............is an adverse action against AP or counters. And the BJ public. As single decks and double decks have a smaller HA than shoe games. So a casino that takes away their pitch games, when they used to have them, is making playing conditions worse.
