Yeah, had a couple of email inquiries on that point, including one a few minutes ago.

I’m fine. Just tired of the general assortment of douchebags, dumb fucks, ignorant assholes coupled with inconsistent selective enforcement. Should be generally well known as to whom my comments are directed to.

Bosox - you’re right - the most difficult issue of this pandemic is the inconsistency of seeing my grandchildren and sons. We do see them all of course, but long breakfasts, lunches family get together are not happening, and won’t until clearance is received. Mind you, I play chess with my 8 and 5 year old grandsons at chess.com, tell my 4 year old granddaughter how beautiful she is, let all of them know that Bubbe and Zaidy love them, face time with everyone, attend meetings, weddings and funerals over Zoom.

Freighter, I am glad that you are doing well. My concern was that you over indulged yourself on pastries that you always love. In my book you are a rich man, and I do not mean the financial part, I mean being around all those nice grandchildren, good luck.

I recall many years ago seeing a piece of video of a guy on their "church team" or whatever it was on a check out/training drill fail miserably and wondered how could you have such a person on a team. He was screwing up a Hi-Lo count. I was horrified. $3000? Maybe that guy needed the $6000 plan. My first thought upon seeing that was "Holy shit!"

Something perfectly normal in big teams and precisely the reason why all of them have processes in place for regularly testing their players skills. Not sure what's so horrifying about it.

I wouldn't want to play alongside someone that inept in a team scenario, especially if any of my money is on the line. What I saw there wasn't normal.

Nobody wants that, which is exactly why those tests exist in the first place.
And if it wasnt normal and something that happens when you put together and run big teams, they wouldnt bother doing them.

Hi to everyone who is still reading this post. This is my first and i will try to stay on subject. Yes, I am a member of BJA. I realize Colin never bankrupted the city of Las Vegas. He has parlayed his experience into a cottage industry. But, he is a member of the fraternity, and if you don't like what he selling, don't buy it. His podcasts are entertaining and from them I have learned who the experts are, that led to what books to buy, how to get better, and eventually to this site, which I joined today. Hope everyone has the best of it

Well, for some saying just “don’t buy it” is not enough. There is a need to warn others, those who might be quitting jobs, quitting college, getting loans or otherwise being sold that the rate of success is about 90% lower than suggested. .He bans anyone who even suggests that there might be craters and potholes on that road. Most successful con artists are genial. Idiots go out, play in local casinos for a few months and boom, quit whatever they were doing cause they found the ATM machine. About 3-4 years later, local casinos have banned them and the road gets rough till your car breaks down!
