Did the Covid Drive Everbody Away from Blackjack and Blackjack Forums

Occasionally I check on how many members have visited this forum in the last 24 hours. About 6 months ago before the covid started this forum had around 112 members check in per day. Now when I look it is only about 75 to 80 a day. Did the covid drive everyone away? Did the covid cause a lot of folks to lose interest in casinos.

Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours: 73 This is the reading from today when I last looked.

Definitely fewer players at the moment.

I stay logged in but I don't visit the site every day. So those numbers may even be lower.

Definitely fewer places to play. Some casinos here locally while open for slots/machines do not have tables open. Some have closed or removed blackjack tables. It's weird. Maybe interest in the game is waning because the rules are so bad or continue to worsen.

It was too many nonsense U.P. threads that drove everyone away.

I would think the players would use the extra time they now have and be on the forums. I was wrong.

I been using the time off as working on different skills.

    When I’m playing I don’t post.

The thought "If Casinos remain Closed due to the Coronavirus Shutdowns, Gambling Websites will soon be shut down due to no Casino plays," crossed my mind before...

It's becoming more. Vegas is opening more and more, but still fewer players per table. I just got back from a casino golf tournament in my State (it's actually an almost perfect social distancing sport) with the play at tables and games that is associated with that. The casino that sponsored the tournament was busy in my opinion but BJ still sucks with fewer tables and opportunities to play that game, though the slot players had no issues.

However, the first night (before tournament) it did take me 2 hours to get on a BJ table. If no positions are open, they take your name down and call you. There is no playing other tables quickly. I heard one guy complain that they didn't call him for an open position until after 1am in the morning.

I have not gone back since lock down started in my state in March. The state has opened up since then to some degree. The casinos have opened too. Still, I am unsure about going back. I have more time to do it since I am not working. Other than covid, my game approach of back counting and jumping in at good counts, is no longer possible from what I have heard. Casinos deter people from standing around near the tables. So, I would be forced to play full shoes and endure the swings on a modest bankroll. That doesn't sound too attractive to me. So, I have not been in touch with blackjack or the forum much. Count me as one of the occasional visitors to BJtF.

Yep - that's me. Really hoping to get back into it when things return to normal. But I'm going to have to do some practice beforehand.
