Do they need to be suited. If not, are there different bonus structures for non suited vs. Suited. What about a bonus for 2-7’s. Depending on your answers, the house edge could Easily Reside in the Republic of Ploppyland.

I remember Stanford Wong's "Basic Blackjack" treats many of these side bets and bonuses and gives strategy tables for them.

Surely you mean 50-1 bonus for a pair of 7s ? Should be 500-1 for unsuited 7s trips and around 5000-1 for suited 7s

Quick and dirty math, based on the expected values at this link: https://wizardofodds.com/games/black...infinite-deck/

You should deviate from basic strategy and hit your 77 rather than split, against dealer 2-7, if your bet is below:

    2 - $15
    3 - $11
    4 - $9
    5 - $7
    6 - $6
    7 - $12

This is based on the EV of drawing for the third 7 vs. the EV you give up by deviating from basic strategy. Basically, if you are betting $5, you should always hit your 77. If you are betting $10, you should hit against 2,3,7-A. If you are betting $15, you should hit against 2,8-A. Making these deviations isn't worth much. If you are flat betting $5, knowing these deviations reduces the house edge by less than 0.1% compared to playing basic strategy. Playing basic strategy without these deviations, it will hit every 4555.79 hands, on average, adding $1.0975 per 100 hands. Double that for two spots.
