Again, a transliteration thing, based on origin. For example, the letter c in eastern European languages (eg., Polish, Russian, Ukranian, etc.) is pronounced like an S. To get a hard c, they use a K, as in Krakow (and the w is pronounced as a v).

So is it Hanukkah or Chanukah?

And, as you know, far from the only variants. I'm a Chanukah man, and much too late to change. But it has fallen over the years to the much more prevalent H beginning (5.3 million to 49 million on Google!).

Sorry, backwards. Should be "How does a sadist hurt a masochist?" Answer: he doesn't.

Of course you’re right. Not being a sexual deviant must impair my grammatical wizardry.

I'm only 10% Jewish. Enough to bitch when they put cheese on the Ruben.

How can one be 10% Jewish. Is the other 90% of you a Buddhist?

Allows for modified circumcision. The individual performing this sacred ritual is called a Mohel, which is very close sounding to mail. The ritual itself is called a briss, or Brit Milah.

The new interned age allows some of these procedures to be performed over the internet - by EMohel, if you will, thus allowing our friend Database, to be known as Mr. 10%.

One grand-grand mother was Jewish, which made my maternal grand father a Jew which, added to the fact that he was a communist in Germany in the 1930s caused him a few issues.

So technically it's 12.5% but my DNA test showed 10%.

I am nowhere near a Buddhist. The Buddha was not exactly pro gambling.

Jewish has nothing to do with DNA. Jewish/Judaism is a religion.

Yes, there is such a thing as being ethnically Jewish, or partly.

BUT anyway. What were we talking about?
