Of the two casinos listed, I think Oneida offers the better game, at least before the covid came along. I have no idea what games these casinos offer now.

Onedia had 3:2 single deck before the covid. No idea if they are still offering it. Recently I called a casino that had 2 deck pitch before covid, but are now offering only the 6 deck game. Before going always call and get the latest rules and covid precautions.

The pre-covid rules for both these casinos are listed in CBJN. I have played much more at Oneida than the Carter casino, but the casinos are only about 80 miles apart with the Carter casino being north of Green Bay.

Don, I took the bait. Question could you have used a series of parties instead of writing "serious"? Somehow the way you wrote the sentence does not sound right.

Sigh. I give up! Ill-fated, doomed post, with not one but two typos. Duly noted and corrected. Thanks and apologies.

FWIW, I didn’t mean my correction of your typo as a way of “getting even” with you or anything of the sort, Don. Just a good-natured jab, nothing more. I really don’t care or think anything of your suggested edits of grammar and/or spelling. As long as I can understand a post, I generally just leave it alone. In this case, I couldn’t resist the mild rib :-)

Absolutely. I'm fine with it. I'm always happy to correct typos. They really needn't be.

This post will probably produce irrational and uncontrollable rage in some members of this forum, but we're being conned. The facts are that despite increasing infection rates, death rates are declining and have been declining for 10 weeks...so much for the "lagging indicator" fear mongering.

"...but what we do know is the death rate has plummeted since late April in this country, declining by 92.4% on a daily basis and declining by 76% for ten straight weeks since late April. And what we also know is that the national death rate from the coronavirus has declined to such an extent that it’s now a tiny percentage of the overall deaths occurring in this country."

    Let the self-righteous berating begin...

Not sure what your point is. My advice to you: go out without a mask. Don't social distance. Party in big crowds. Go to indoor bars and outdoor large gatherings. Enjoy your life ... while you can.

My point is people are missing the point regarding the lethality of this virus because the full story is not being told by the media; the media cherry pick the data for the most part by reporting increasing infection rates but not decreasing death rates and how those deaths are distributed among different demographic groups. This virus, in general, effects different people differently. The overwhelming majority of the young and healthy have very little to fear from COVID-19. The old, and those with underlying health conditions, have a lot to fear from COVID-19.

As I previously stated, I personally wear a mask whenever I enter a building other than my residence and wash my hands when I return to my vehicle. I, and my wife, both do this because we both have underlying health condidtions and close family members above the age of 70. We do this as much as for us as for them and anyone else that is a member of an at risk group.

Nonetheless, the reasons why we take precautions are not the reasons why we are being conned; we are being conned because the majority of the media are not providing all the relevant data.

If you're going to try and make things personal, like you always do, at least pay attention and try to keep up.

In the following article Dr Fauci gives 2 reasons for the lack of joy re the decrease in deaths. Ad 3rd reason is the lag time between diagnosis and death.

That's from the guy that told us we should not be wearing masks...

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

COVID-19 deaths have been declining for ten weeks. When they start increasing get back to me.
