Yup. Well done. And never forget: there are many more horses' asses in the world than there are horses (and several of them reside right here!).

Regarding the original question: first, ensure your game is as good as you think it is. Then, figure out how far you are below EV, in standard deviations. You'll probably find that you're within statistical norms, especially if you don't have as good a game as you think you have. Don's book and Norm's software are essential.

If you have a good game, and a good bankroll, you just have to ride out the bad luck.

I think it is rather telling that, asked to do this a week ago, along with all the game specifics, we still haven't heard a word back from the OP.

I've only gotten better at keeping the count as I've gone along and yet lose every time I raise my bets. We're not talking some bad luck here, it's been endless for weeks. I'm baffled. I did better when I knew nothing about the game. It has to be something I'm doing but I don't see it. I'm doing it right as far as everything I've learned after nearly a year. What am I missing?
    Here are my 2 cents:

Please buy Don Schlesinger's "Blackjack Attack Playing the Pros' Way" (3rd edition)

On page 21 there is a chart called "Probability of being ahead after n hours of play"

For a 6 deck game after playing 40 hours you have a 33% chance of not being ahead. After playing 500 hours you still have a 6% of not being ahead. Add some human errors and tilt, and these figures only increase.

Assuming you are counting correctly and play 100% with no errors, the variance of this game is still very significant my dear, sexy friend. You have to first understand the math before committing otherwise you have in for a cold shower of reality.

Also, please buy Norms Casino Verite and Don's Blackjack Attack. They are absolute must have if you intend on actually winning at this.
