    Foxwoods anyone?

Has anyone been to Foxwoods since it re-opened? I am thinking about going in July once I have some more funds. Hopefully, in CT, the Covid curve will still be in decline. I am not sure if it is a good idea yet! Thanks in advance for any helpful updates!

Yeah, I normally post in the Eastern section but very few people respond!

Not sure what your bankroll situation is but imo the conditions are poor. On Friday nights the main floor 8dk, h17 game with mediocre to good pen is $50 min. The hL 6dk s17 game cutting 1dk is $100min. 4 to a table and as of last week only 1/4 casinos is offering table games. Although I’m sure they are working on opening tables in the other casinos soon because the place was packed. Most likely You’ll be spinning your wheels waiting on a spot at a shitty 8decker

Not Foxwoods, but MS last week. 3 to a table and non smoking was nice. Played $50 min 6D S17, pen was 1 to 1.5. All 8D H17 games were $25 min. Strange that some of the 8D tables had plexiglass partitions while most did not. Most people kept their distance where they could.

I hit ms last Friday and it was $50 3:2 h17 8dk, the funny part was you could also find $50 6dk s17. I felt the conditions were poor overall, I recommend not going during high traffic times(weekends)

I understand that FW and MS only allow people from CT, RI and MA. Do they check your ID when you enter?

FaceUp, was that 6D game at MS next to the Mexican Restaurant? That is a good spot. The casino said that some tables will have plexiglass to see if "players like it." Really dumb.

Ghost322, the place was packed? Hmm, that's what I am worried about! Those 8D games are usually $25 during off peak times and sometimes even $15 minimums. The pen is supposed to be 1D cut off. So, it can depend on the dealer. With the limited seating, is it possible to back count? I understand that other casinos do not allow people to stand behind the table under current health restrictions.

Thank you for all the good info!

They are allowing all states now. No ID checks. Limited seating at both during most hours right now(from what I saw)

Agreed. That is a good spot since it's smoke free, 6D S17 but unfortunately it was not open. There's a small pit in the Earth Casino behind the Wolf Den stage that caters to Asians that is usually open. It's all 6D S17 hand shuffle there as well.

I was not asked for ID nor was anyone checking temperatures when I walked in. FWIW I did see a large number of cars with NY plates in the garage.

Of course, as you probably know, there are other stores in the NE that are far better than MS/FW that should re-open soon. If you're building your BR, I would wait.

Both casinos have temperature sensors when you enter. They are very inconspicuous and most don't notice them. At that point those without masks will be provided with one. No smoking at either casino. Designated areas are provided.

For a short time only Ct and RI residents were allowed to book rooms. At no time was anyone denied entrance to the casinos based on their address. IDs were never checked.

What about drinking? Is that allowed? If both casinos are for the moment smoke free, that would be great!

If you walk in the door without a mask, do they have security posted at every entrance?

Can I back count a table without breaking protocol?

Yes on the drinking. Security is at all the entrances that are open along with the temperature scanners. That's as far as you will get without a mask which they will provide. Back counting has become a problem for a couple of reasons. There just aren't that many empty seats with less players allowed at the tables and security moves you along to maintain the 6 foot rule.

Drinking at the tables was allowed.

I didn't see security at the entrance I came through but I would want to wear a mask regardless.

Back counting is not feasible at this point as the 8D tables were full at 3 to a table and although the 6D tables were not as crowded, they are and always were NMSE.

Hmm, I hate playing off the top especially now that table minimums are high. I will have to think it over. 8^)

What about 6:5? Is that filthy animal still alive at Foxwoods and MS? Did they change their strategy to attract players back?

At Foxwoods the 6 to 5 tables in the Pequot Casino were opening at noon the last time I was there on a weekday. The Fox Tower casino is open on weekends only. That was all 6 to 5 when the casinos closed. I haven't checked since then.

At Mohegan Sun the 6 to 5 pit in the Casino of the Earth is open. Gone are the $10 minimums though. It's now $15 and up.
