What about 6:5? Is that filthy animal still alive at Foxwoods and MS? Did they change their strategy to attract players back?
6:5 is black jack herpes and ct is burning with it. You have to be vigilant

Yes, I know this thread is old!

Hey BJ friends, I'm checking in! Has anyone been to FW or MS lately? I have been putting off returning to the battle for a while. I have less responsibility now and thus more free time in the coming months. I am considering polishing my rusty skills and heading back in. Have there been any recent changes to know about?

I have heard that Resorts World in NY state opened again btw. That's a similar driving distance for me as FW.

I've been to both as recently as yesterday. Not that much has changed. The 6 to 5 tables are not open in the mornings or afternoons at either casino during the week. The 6 to 5 pit at Mohegan Sun was also closed this past Saturday. With three players to a table and few tables open, back counting is nearly impossible. You do have the option of playing 2 boxes whenever you want since each seat has 2 spots. Foxwoods continues to foolishly and aggressively back off red chippers.

Your temperature is noninvasively taken upon entry with no questions or stopping. Masks are required and provided, if needed, at both venues.

Speaking of New England, Twin River has no 6 to 5 blackjack and only one pit of H17. My last visit was at the end of August. Masks are required and provided if needed. Same temperature check as the other 2 NE casinos. You must show your ID to enter the casino. No exceptions.

Hours are 10AM to 3 AM weekdays and 24 hours on weekends. Rhode Island is strict. Anyone remember when the Atlantic City casinos would close and reopen at 10AM?

Also been to both very recently. 4 sections per table at FW, 3 sections per table at MS. The day I was at MS I was surprised to find a couple of tables open with no one there so I was able to play heads up. Someone came up and was standing behind me blatantly back counting and jumped into the game at true 2. He hit and ran with a loss. PB didn't seem to notice or care.

Be careful of the property just across the CT state line - very much on the alert for APs. Just got my first BO after playing unmolested there since they opened.

Paymypush, you are always on top of things! Thank you for the updates. You've given me a lot to consider. Do you feel there is a definite reduction of the number of players? I wonder what it is like on the weekends?

Why do they check your ID at Twin River? The high limit pit there has always been sweaty. I've heard/read a few stories about players getting backed off there. When they first opened, I went there. It was creepy how they had men dressed in suits standing just behind the players at the high limit pits.

Weekends are crowded. The reduction is in available tables, not so much in players, and because of that it is difficult to find a seat. They are also noticing wonging out more than usual now.

The suits at Twin River are from the gaming commission. I once had one behind me for a good 45 minutes. He was very stoic and never uttered a word. Another annoying thing this casino does is ask for ID at the cage for smaller cash outs such as less than 2K. It seems to be done randomly.

They claim that checking IDs upon entry is for contract tracing purposes. How convenient.
