According to their website, there’s at least one casino that’s opened with the procedure of only dealer touching chips. Apparently you tell them what to bet and they place it for you. Game speed and counting must work wonderfully with that. Both the casino in that video and the other card room/race track style casino in Minnesota I believe they are requiring reservations to play at first, Canterbury for sure is Running Aces it’s unclear if it’s just an option or if it’s required.

Its what the casino is doing and you have to supplement it with your own actions...wear a glove on one hand to handle chips might be an option. I mean I go to a grocery store, mask on, someone at the door hands me a just sanitized cart and I walk down the aisle seeing people pick up items, put them back, touch vegetables, open freezer doors, etc.

the store or casino can do only so much, one can either stay home all the time or venture out taking precautions.

How about wearing a glove on the hand that touches the chips.

What purpose does a glove serve? The virus isn't transmitted through skin.

The one thing is there are A LOT of people (about 20%) who are chronic nail biters with no conscious control over it. For those people, wearing gloves helps be conscious of it and keep their hands out of their mouth when they would otherwise be going hand to mouth with dirty hands. I would imagine if the percentage of nail biters or frequency of doing so goes up higher than an average sample among gamblers since it’s related to anxiety.

If you wear a glove on one hand, you can pick up chips, fill gas or touch other materials and discard that glove. You also remember which hand is permitted to touch your mouth, pick your nose, etc.

There might be a lot of AP players on this board but when it comes to common sense and the way of the world you are the best.

A lot of AP’s will feel insulted by your implication that I am one...but thanks.

Recent visit to a Pittsburgh casino. Arrive at table, put buy in cash down on table. Instructed to hold hands out so sanitizer can be applied. Chips are pre-sanitized, and handed to you after you sanitize your hands. So I guess in a sense, everyone sanitized their hands prior to touching any sanitized chips.
