I took another look at Foxwoods yesterday to see what the first Saturday after the opening would bring. At high noon there were 8 tables open in the Pequot Casino; 4 at $25 minimums and 4 at $50. The 3 seats at each table were occupied with players waiting. These are 8 deck, H17 games dealt from ASMs.

A few steps away, the high limit Newport Room had some $50 minimum tables that were dead. These are 6 deck, S17. People don't care. They just want to play. Nothing new here.

This is what gives the casino the power. If no one plays they are force to change the table limit. Make the casino like the airlines where bookings decrease by 90% and cut their CEO pay. Thing is going change then.
