Any reports on minimums being higher or lower after covid reopening?

Anyone know if the minimums have been higher or lower since casinos have started reopening in states?

I'm fearful they will be higher.

Anyone know if Current Blackjack News will have this information soon, and especially when casinos start opening in Las Vegas June 4th? I would be happy to volunteer a bit for them.

VBJN is published the first of each month with info supplied towards the end of the month. Sooo, I wouldn't expect any updated info for June reopenings until July. And even if there are some openings, I suspect a number of CBJN reporters will stay away from casinos for a while.

Mohegan Sun had their usual $15 minimums and there were plenty of $10 minimums at Foxwoods. No change at either.

Same old mins at my local casino. They are checking ID at the door now. I knew that was going to be a problem so I changed in the bathroom after I got in. Reversible jacket, hat, different color mask and I have those pants I can zip the legs on to turn them from shorts into pants. Worked like a charm. I played a couple shoes with my usual spread and nobody said anything to me. I’m going to play a little longer each visit. I can’t wait to go back tonight.

Casino in the south that used to have plenty of $10 games was all 25 min+ on a weekday including the 6/5 games.

Without disclosing any "honeypot", WHICH casinos in the south? I was contemplating a weekend trip out east from me to Mississippi area to see since they are reopened. Here we are still limited. Some local places have NOT reopened table games while trying to get a handle on play. But slots are open in every casino and here were a backlog of people trying to get in to 'give away their money' for these games once they reopened. Lines to enter made the news................

Why checking your ID when they should check your temperature?

They did check my temperature. Everyone gets their temperature checked. I went back last night. Changed in the bathroom. Went to the tables and played positive counts at 2 hands of $500 for 3 1/2 hours and nobody said anything about it. I’m back baby!!!!!

Which pits are open? Pequot? Cedar? Where where the $10 tables?

Yes, it was the Pequot Casino with the same tables that were open before the closing. Minimums were mostly $10 with some $15. The Newport Room was open and had some $50 minimums. Keep in mind that I left just before noon and players were already waiting for seats so expect those minimums to go up. It wasn't that it was that crowded; it was the three player maximum allowed at the tables.

The Great Cedar Casino was open but the tables were not. These tables always opened around 1 PM. I'm not sure if they will now because they didn't have the plexiglass barriers like the Pequot tables. They certainly had ample time to install them. There were still six chairs at each table.

The Rainmaker and Fox Tower casinos were closed.
