    British Columbia Blackjack Network

    Hey everyone,
I hope you are all doing fine and well during this trying time, hopefully we are nearing the tail end of this thing. I am new to forum pages and discords but just thought while all of this is going on I would try to branch out and build a network of card counters and advantage players in my area and in locations I frequent to regularly. I am from the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. I am an avid card counter who has used this quarantine to build up an adequate bankroll to get me started. I am in no way a full time gambler so my bankroll fits my needs at this current stage.
The real purpose of this post is to try and connect and share ideas with other AP's in the Okanagan, Greater Vancouver, and even Washington State areas. If you are from here feel free to reply, tell me a bit about yourself and your adventures in the AP world.
I look forward to getting to know more AP's and building a strong network of players dedicated to taking casino's down a peg.

What are the playing conditions where you are? In Vancouver, there are several double deck games (horrible at the Villa where they use 30% cut), but usually 50% cut at other casinos. Most 6 deck shoes are unfortunately performed with cms in Vancouver. Outside Vancouver, you might find 6 deck machine shuffled but with a two deck cut. Card counters are ignored.

Hey, conditions are decent, there are 3 casinos within a 45 min drive of each other. 1 casino (the one I started playing at before taking counting more seriously) has 2 six-deck shoe games, 1 is ENHC which they usually open up at 6:00pm or 7:00, on busy nights they will open up a second six-deck show game that is a standard hole card game. Both games are H17, DAS, RSA, LS ~1.5 - 2.0 decks cut off. Haven’t had any heat yet but I’m still a red chipper for now spreading $15 (table min) to 2 hands of $50.
Haven’t checked out the other 2 casinos close by but they advertise a $5 DD game, hopefully decent pen. There is also rumours that the other local casino is under renovations so they can host table games after Covid ends. Happy counting would love to hear back from you guys and keep generating positive EV!!!

G L as of today BC casino are bought by US casino group . They were already garbage so hopefully the US casino will make it more viable but i really doubt it .IMO US casino group are much more aggressive toward APs but usually offer better condition to start.

BTW anything less than $200 to $300 will not make $$ at counting and is usually just for pocket change . Even at $300 max bet might only make you $50 to $60 /hour in real world( expenses and mistakes ,bad cuts. ploppies joining ..etc..) .

Do you know which group is buying out BC casinos or which ones own Gateway Casinos (the company that owns the majority of casinos in BC)?
Also I’m just starting off with lower stakes to get comfortable with the spreads and putting the money out, my game is almost perfect (will be perfect before I step back into casinos). I have a $5000 BR and plan on growing it to at least $15,000 replenishable as it grows I plan to spread to 2x$100 at $7500 and 2x300 by $10,000. Thanks for the input @StopGambling are you from BC of Canada?

lol... to spread to 2 x $300 you better have at least $40k , that is full" Kelly" if you are playing perfectly . That is sometimes not enough of a bankroll due to individual's comfort zone. GL. I would think before you get to 2 x$300 you may get bar from all the casino in your area with their low limit and slow business that they have. Gateway do have more casino but makes less money . It is actually the Great canadian casino that's being bought out i think. It probably wouldn't affect you much. P.S. Obviously you can wong out / wong in to make up for insufficient bankroll. Also your info on $5 DD bj is not true. It should be $25 DD bj with some heat.
