    Forfeiture laws...

The Arizona House Judiciary Committee just passed a very good civil asset forfeiture reform bill that would require convictions before most forfeitures. [redacted politics]

Norm, hope you don’t ban me because it’s not meant to be political. Forfeitures have come up before..

Good info, Zee. You didn't say anything about Saudi women driving, so I think you're OK

We thought it was terrible that Saudi women were prevented from driving but maybe we may re-consider since everyone has been under house arrest and prevented from driving here.

Yes, I am checking out of this thread. Don’t want to get banned. I just posted it as is from a column only cause I vaguely remembered comments about the unfairness of forfeiture Laws and one could lose their BR and car, etc.

The part about the reform of forfeiture was useful and appropriate. The part about who voted against it was completely unnecessary.

I did no editing, copied the paragraph. I would post the entire article but that would surely ban me. Because the paragraph included the part about who voted, I mentioned Norm and to excuse it or remove it if he found it Was a violation. I am sorry if it’s @ big deal to you.

I know a lawyer out west that mentioned something about this topic and recall a lengthy post on it here. I've been meaning to ask them about this. I've never had an actual incident, but have often been driving with shitloads of cash on me casino hopping, and in the back of my mind worried about getting shaken down by the cops as much as anything else. Not so much locally, more so when driving cross-country, Vegas and back, etc. I've heard enough horror stories to have concerns about such things. I would suggest not having stacks of $5000 bricks next to you in the passenger seat when getting pulled over, for starters.

When carrying lots of money, shave, wear a suit and tie, look distinguished, drive a standard size new car or new SUV and they will leave you alone. Look a loser and a degenerate, cigarette buts and empty beer cans, bandana, undershirt, a muscle car or old one and you are in trouble.

No big deal to me, but in less time than it took to type your request for leniency, you could have just deleted that part of the quote and not broken any rule at all.
