Of course you have no idea what it's like to live in God's country where you will find some of the freshest air on earth. Just for you, here is a picture of me in God's country. Notice the nice shoes.

As I have been doing for years, if anyone, AP, casino person, anyone at all has a question about the work I've done, you are welcome to write me a personal email. My email address can be found through my website, www.ijmp.org .

With all his success, I can't imagine why Don has chosen, at this moment in his life, to troll me. He didn't make that same choice back in 2001 ...

My wife says I was much more tolerant about stuff 20 years ago, that Zi get cranky more often these days. I, of course, irritably disagree.

Easy answer: someone chose to make the obvious correction before me: REC PLAYER: "Correction: I meant to say HPH (hands per hour), not HPR (nt)."

Eliot, I almost posted this same BJ21 thread, when I read Don's comment on hpr. After you and Don's disagreement, I spent some time on the internet researching it, and found this BJ21 thread, and several other references on it, which showed you were right.

I actually found this topic interesting. It looks like it makes it easier to differentiate between rounds per hour (rph) and hands per hour (hpr) with the abbrs the way they are.

I also want you to know I've enjoyed your books, especially the "The Blackjack Zone". I have recommended it to several people. It's one of my favorites. I also bought your book "Beyond Advantage Play" and enjoyed reading it, but it was beyond where I want to go with advantage play.

And lastly, I've listened to your interviews on GWAE, and liked how you handled one of the commentators who attacked you for consulting with the casinos. I listened to it a while ago, so I don't remember who the commentator was, but I was impressed at how you handled it. You didn't escalate things, and were very calm as the commentator was trying to egg you on.

I'm only a part time hobby AP. I do it more for recreation and to relax after a long work week, than for money. I enjoy the casino experience, and have mostly had very positive experiences with casinos. I've pretty much quite posting over here, because I've found if I say anything positive about casinos, I get attacked relentlessly, so I've moved on.

Even Don called me stupid once, when I said something that was correct, but he didn't agree with, so I've just come to see this is what APs do. They call people stupid who they don't agree with you.

I've never understood how someone can criticize casinos and at that same time be in the Blackjack Hall of Fame. I mean the BJHF was started by Max Rubin for the purpose of attracting more ploppies into his casino, so his casino could make more money. I've never understood why Max Rubin seems to get a pass from APs, and you get attacked.

Going forward, I won't be posting here again anytime soon, since I'm sure a bunch of people will be attacking me....and of course 21forme will threaten me with putting me on his ignore list...as if that impacts my life. He does this every time he reads one of my posts. I've tried to tell him to just keep me on permanent ignore, but he hasn't figured that out.

I just wanted you to know I'm one of your biggest fans, even though I've never met you. I've agreed with pretty much everything you've said and written, and I like how you try to straddle the fence between AP and casinos. I look forward to reading any of your articles, posts and books, if you should write another one.

Funny, but true! I send you an email inquiring about your loss rebate theorem spreadsheet and your answer was very clear: I'm retired!

Not exactly what I was hoping for...

And you probably never will. However, you can comfort yourself by thinking that the group that goes annually to the Blackjack Ball are a bunch of morons who just appreciate the hospitality...

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
