Wonderful, wishful thinking. But, it's a pipe dream. The Neanderthal cretins who run casinos are just plain too stupid to do anything so obviously good for everyone. They don't have the mentality for it.

After reading, I read the bio of the author at the bottom. I knew he couldn't be working for a casino.

Yeah, wishful thinking like Don said.

Gamblers are stupid. They'd throw their money into a raging fire if they thought they could get it back and more.

Very wishful thinking. My local casino charges all players for drinks ordered, even if they're playing on a $100 minimum table.

In many jurisdictions, that's the law. Not casino policy.

    Classy!

Sometimes, you wonder, when they consider people to run casinos, just what the criterion for level of mental deficiency has to be. Sub-cretin? Idiot? Imbecile? Moron? (Did you know there was an order? I remember that they go in alphabetical order!)

As mentioned above, in many jurisdictions it's law that casinos can't serve free drinks. Casino management has no say in the matter. State lawmakers and gaming commissions are the ones that do.

You really cannot go back to the beginning because it’s not like we could go back to a time where all card counters had to figure out for themselves what optimal betting, ROR, BR requirements etc. We now have a whole lot of technology available to beat the casinos. For all you know, maybe they will eliminate all hand shuffled 3/2 Blackjack games.

Do you really believe that "we" as a group are a threat for the north american casinos? Really?
Look at all the casinos and BJ games available, then look at how many of us have significant bankrolls to do REAL dammages, then input all the wannabe counters who mostly lack the knowledge, the training, the bankroll and so on and ask again yourself if "we" as a group are a real threat? Just try to find a perfect BS player...this tells a lot by itself.

The answer is NO. Most casinos could simply ignore us and spend their money on other things. Yes, they could put some efforts on a high roller spreading purple in the HL room, but it doesn't make sense to spend all that money on red and green chipper, no matter how good you want to believe you are.

Not sure of this yet but sometimes, you know what crosses my mind? Each casino should have is "Home Pro Counter" like all the golf courses have their Pro! A "Pro" that gives advice to players and explain how the game can be beaten. Out of 1000 customers, less than 5 would be good enough, dedicated enough and bankrolled enough to make any "threat" to the bottom lines.
I'd be very curious to see a casino experience with this idea...

Exactly. Why else would a sweat shop like Southpoint let Dancer teach VP classes?
