Betting table minimum or betting a tighter spread

I can see how betting a tighter spread, 1 to 6 or 1 to 8 can bring longevity. Betting table minimum to two hands of 500 can bring more heat, but will increase EV.

What method do you prefer when playing? And why?

It’s a dumb question.
You should ask yourself 2 questions when starting a game.

1. What spread do I need to beat this game
2. What spread can I get away with

No point playing a tight spread when you need a wide spread to beat.

No point playing a tight spread when you need a wide spread to beat.

Further to this, part of the skill set is the ability to approximate house edge on the fly as well as being able to determine minimum spread to beat.

Further drilling down, you need to adjust your strategy shoe by shoe, dealer by dealer. Assume House edge of .5, dealers giving lousy deck pen are not deserving of tokes whereas good pen does spade serve, assuming that you toke. There are some great strategies that can be used to deal with these situations.

More to the gambit, but that’s a story for another day.

All is well. One of my grandkids 5th birthday today, so we have a creative birthday party today. As far as here, sporadic appearances only on topics of interest.
