    Accuracy of CJBN (bj21.com)

Anyone here utilitize CBJN? Do you find it is worth the subscription? Are the individual casino conditions accurate and up to date?

Yes and yes. However, game conditions change by the hour, so you still need to do your own scouting. Don't write off a casino (or expect gold) based on a CBJN report.
    Disclosure - I am a CBJN reporter.

If you are going to make a trip to Vegas I would consider buying the latest issue. For other venues I would do my own research. You can find a lot of information about a casino by just calling the pit.

I feel that most conditions in CBJN were accurate at the time they were made, but many casinos have not been updated for years. The good thing is CBJN lists the date of the last update.

I've seen reports I made 6 or 7 years ago as the most recent report.

I just buy 1-2 each year...it does not change much, the good casinos remain the same ones...on my trip to Las Vegas, I underline the casinos on CBJN that I plan to play and there is little difference between the ones I played each year.

Now, CBJN May be more valuable to find new places or other places but I dont see much point purchasing a subscription. Buy a single copy.

I believe the opposite is true. Nothing's been updated for May (late April conditions when everything was closed) and it's doubtful many reporters will get out by the end of May for the June issue. I have no intention of going back to a casino within the first few weeks of reopening. I have an annual subscription and I didn't even bother downloading the May issue.

    P.S. Welcome back, Zee

i've found it's usually good for what games there are and the rules, but often wildly off for penetration especially in vegas.

to be fair when a casino uses one notch for all of their games it's pretty accurate on reporting that pen.

I bought an issue in Feb 2020. I was playing in casinos all around Las Vegas and Henderson, and I also worked in one. From what I saw most of the information is still accurate.

But because of the virus, that information is now stale. I am not sure what plans CBJN has when Las Vegas/Henderson casinos reopen, but I'm definitely renewing my subscription when the city reopens again for blackjack to see if it will be updated.

Unfortunately, it sounds like many of the Stations casinos won't be opening, including my favorite/first win/ Fiesta Henderson. I also have heard that only Excalibur, Ny/Ny, and Bellagio are opening for MGM-owned/semi-owned properties. I'm not sure when this will happen. My guess was July 3rd but I haven't read any news about it in the last week or so.

When they do open I would hope the minimums and rules will be more liberal or at the worst, the same. I also hope I can find a seat and not have to wait hours to get one. AT LEAST, the tables won't be fully anymore at my level, which is $5 minimum.

    Yes, yes

    Best data available.

Generally good information especially if you are a road warrior.

NOT a substitute for your scouting. Great games often missing or misrepresented in listing.

    Pen is always casino dependent.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

Yeah, missed being on. There was so much on Covid-19 on this site 4-6 weeks back, I posted a link to a view on it and BAM, was banned because the administrator considered it political. It is what it is...
