For all you casino execs rading the forum, here's an opening strategy for you

VIPs only (maximize revenue/player while keeping crowds down)
    Every other slot
3 chairs per BJ table and every other table
    No smoking

    Don’t forget a 90 grace period on 1-50 spreads

Better idea is casinos live and die by their marketing department. I would advise the casino execs to have some limited nice value promos to bring the crowds back. Something like BJs pay 2:1 from 8 to 11 on Thursdays or something like that. Can limit the max bet to something like $500 and budget a set amount for the promo, once gone back to normal.

Bad idea to encourage hordes of people come during a limited-time promo.

At least under that scenario, it brings on a whole new extra meaning to the word slaughtered regarding
ploppies in casinos. Actually, most plopps would still think that a 3 to 2 blackjack payoff is better than a 2 to 1 payoff.

    True story:
I was sitting at a BJ table and saw a guy looking around from table to table. Dealer said, "Sir, can I help you with something?"
Player said, "Yeah, do you have 6:5 blackjack here?"
Dealer said, "No sir. 3:2 is better for the player than 6:5." Player, looking indignant said, "Are trying to tell me you have better games than Vegas?"

    - Ok, good point - problem is easily solved by not restricting the promo to a short period of time. Just make it the new normal - better yet add Early Surrender and cash in on all the ploppies misplaying the hand.

so u dont need to have live dealers, install the dealers angels type of video BJ machines from aruze gaming. i wish i knew of a new place installing these, because they pay 3-2 and dont reshuffle every hand, and some machines rip u off on the payouts. and then again, if u have special time periods where u get back 1 or 2% on the dollar instead of like 10 cents back on every $100 bet, people would actually want to play and bet more

I don’t get it. If you are going to open, why not let each casino decide it’s own strategy and post it. A casino might post “just as in the past”, another might state social distancing required ((however they design it) and another might state social distancing “masks and gloves required, masks sold at door” etc.

Another might be areas for “over 60 years old” and separate from younger ones.

Because casinos don't have the expertise to decide. They don't even have the expertise to understand their business and maximize profits in their casinos! And since what they do affects the health of people who contact others after they leave, it shouldn't be up to them.

"They don't even have the expertise to understand their business and maximize profits in their casinos!..." - truer words were never said!
