    Early surrender

    Have you come across blackjack that offers early surrender against the Ace?

    Only once, on a cruise ship and it might have just been due to a confused dealer.

    Several times. In Atlantic City at Spanish 21. I offer to surrender before the dealer checks for BJ. About 25% went for it, the others saying I had to wait until they checked.

    In the early days of Foxwoods only on three tables dependant upon the dealer. The 3 tables had progressive super seven side bets and no mirror to check for blackjack. Dealers rotated from tables that did have mirrors and only the regular 777 non-progressive side bets and quite a few dealers, fortunately, did not know the proper procedure for late surrender without the mirrors and gave early surrender. Some other dealers gave early surrender provided there was tipping involved.

    There are still places that offer full early surrender. Have to be willing to travel though.
