    Off topic. $1,000 for reinstatement?

There were suggestions on another Gambling Website that banned Members donate $1,000 for reinstatement and even ONE offense such as inadvertently hijacking a thread would cause rebanment and the Poster does not get their $1,000 back. Norm, would you go for this? A $1,000 reinstatement fee and even one wrong move is a ban and no reimbursement?

    No. It's ridiculous. Like:

What is the best thing to do when you have a hole in a boat and water is leaking inside? Make another hole to drain the water.

It’s the fun part of a forum just before Norm closes it or someone gets banned. The events leading to it is fascinating.

I guess a tentative reinstatement might be okay. For example, on another website, I created my own website because a woman was being bullied. I created that website so she would have a safe place to post. I was permanently banned for creating my own website and NOT running it through the Admin first. On another website where we were both Members, I explained that I created that website to help out the bullied woman. He said something like,"It's nice that you created that website to help out a bullied woman and not for selfish reasons, but you went about it the wrong way. You should have told me about your website first before linking to it. I'll let you back since you were trying to help someone out." I was let back. So sometimes banned people do deserve a second chance.
