Hello Counting is Fun, I know how to count, but I dont count.

To answer your question, I post here because I really like the game. My dad taught me how to play in the late 80s, and I used to pick him up at the docks near St. Petersburg, FL (near where we lived) when the casino boat returned from "international waters" for the afternoon. I even accompanied him a few times on these "cruises to nowhere."

I have been an ardent student of the game for about 18 of the last 30 years. So, though I dont count, I feel I can occasionally provide helpful feedback, as I did above.

By the way, I believe we can 'advance our cause' of perhaps furthering our knowledge (and hopefully our bank accounts!) of this great game by making the best possible use of this website that we are so fortunate to have (thanks, Norm).

More directly, we are all "on the same team," so lets act like it. For example, I am sure I speak for most members when I advocate that we not be semi-confrontational (e.g., "what can you contribute if you are not a counter?" (paraphrased)). Attitudes other than collegial ones can only be divisive.
