Casino Verite True Count Calculation Error

Hey Norm - Casino Verite seems to be calculating the true count incorrectly when I'm playing at the main table. I've tried adjusting the settings to calculate via round, truncate and quarter deck, half deck, full deck, etc, but nothing changes. Do you know why this might be happening?

There is always a confusion between how precisely you estimate the TC (to whole decks, half decks, etc., in other words, 1, 2, or 3 decks remaining, or 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 decks remaining), which is still dividing by the number of WHOLE decks, but with half-deck precision, or whether you actually reckon the TC by dividing by the number of half decks remaining. So, if four decks remain, you would divide by 8.

It isn't clear to me from the above exactly what is going on, because it doesn't seem to address this distinction, but if you're dividing by half decks remaining, then12/8 = 1.5, and 1.5 rounded (up) is 2.

Hey Don - I understand what you're saying, but that is not the case here. I've tried toggling between whole deck and half deck division and the TC remains at two for both. I even tried using "Exact Calculation" where it divides by 4.0 decks exactly, and it still results in a TC of 2. I think there's just some sort of bug going on.

In the strategy, change it to full decks remaining on the Count tab.
