    Playing rated when AP'ing slots/VP

This is a non blackjack related question so maybe it should be moved.

I was at one my local casinos and was successfully vulturing some of the "must hit by" slot machines.

I already have a players card at this place, but rarely play BJ there due to real/perceived heat.

Is it possible to get backed off for only playing slots/VP when they are in a +EV state? I sort of assumed that, in general, most stores won't even notice/care about that, and if you already have a card with the place, the comps for playing slots would only increase the EV. Am I wrong to assume this?

    Thanks!

Yes it is possible to get backed off from machines. Some places don't care. Some CET and other properties will harass you just for scouting around. Some of them don't.

If you aren't playing tables, then you have to figure out how they react on your own. If you're paying tables, and unrated, definitely DO NOT use your card for machines.

What sort of harassment can one expect to receive from scouting machines?

What you said about rated/unrated for machines vs tables makes sense, thanks.

Some casinos are getting hostile toward some machine players. Next time in Vegas, go check machines at the Rio and you'll see what I mean.
