    Baccarat Dragon Bonus question

Had a question re: mini baccarat. If the banker side is expected to win a higher percentage of hands than the player side, wouldn't the banker Dragon bonus bet win at a similar rate relative to the regular Banker wagers? And since there is a 5% commission on regular Banker wagers, why wouldn't there be one on the Banker Dragon Bonus? I have never played bacc, but was curious. I read somewhere that the house edge on Banker Dragon Bonus bets was significantly higher than Player Dragon Bonus wagers, and that doesn't seem to make sense.

    DoubleDownSoft21,

The flaw in your reasoning is that the Banker tends to win by 1-4 points. The WoO has analyzed this sidebet, see

    https://wizardofodds.com/games/bacca...oc-DragonBonus

There, you'll see that the Player has a strong edge in wins by 5 or more.

    Hope this helps!
