Those games are all (6-8D, >75% pen) I play and it’s broken me. I’m thinking of quitting. The swings are extreme. The sims say they’re highly beatable with backcounting and wonging but my god you’ll feel like the game is rigged. Through 300 hours I’m still down 100 units. I was up about 50 hours in and have lost ever since. So far I’ve won 41% of my sessions. It’s nuts.

Maybe avoid 8D and exclusively backcount and/or frontcount and Wong out at ODP? At least until you grind back to even? It should help you significantly. I don't play all hands anymore. Of course I still experience losing trips, but they are much less frequent and losses seem smaller...except when I get one of those + count losing shoe beat downs.

When you do Wong out now, at what count are you doing so?

Think I’ll add one more to emphasize the stupidity of the author of post 23.

I was headed to a city which was part of my general rotation. Scouting reports of a new guy in town, including cell phone photographs, had been provided to me by my contacts. They included rather large buyins (I would specify the amount, except that in itself would help identify) and a somewhat laid back style.

I entered the hi limit room of a particular store, noted the rather large phallic stack of purples, accompanied by an additional pile of collapsed purples, from which various bets were proffered. The yellows were neatly stacked. I immediately knew who it was, and ironically, he immediately knew who I was (from scouting reports provided to him, I would assume).

Both of us were playing heads up - me being the supposed local, he being the casual tourist, as we engaged in casual conversation across the pit from each other. It’s not often you see that dollar value of chips on the table - the rather logical inference being very significant.

When you do Wong out now, at what count are you doing so?

I don’t play negative counts at all. I have no done play all in any of the 300 hours. I follow the ODP from BJA3, either playing the shoe off the top wonging out or back counting. I just have been getting hammered consistently in positive shoes. It never seems to end.
