Ugh re negative variance. We all know it is part of the game and it is up to each player to decide for themself whether or not to continue playing...not anyone else.

Just in case you have not done so, maybe get someone to check you out? Or do a self checkout with CVBJ? I really don't think that is the problem, but it can't hurt. That's all I got, except for hang in there, we know the math is the math and it will eventually work itself out.

Again, how do you know that everyone on the forum knows me? Who has been telling you they “know” me? All these arrogant claims that everyone knows me, again speaking for everyone. I don’t know you though from your arrogant posts, I can conclude that you must be a 21 year old, arrogant and full of himself.

Come on, Zee. Everyone knows you. You're a legend. Don't be so modest

I have CVBJ, I do drills before each session just to make sure my counting is right. The face cards come when my bets are out they just keep making bad hands. The discouraging thing is this is beginning of my blackjack “career.”

Not sure which count you use, but if you're using a balanced count, you include the deck estimation drill too, right?

I follow a similar SOP re CVBJ drills before I enter a store, so to me it sounds like you are doing things the right way. All you can do is contine to play the right way and wait for the math to work itself out. It will as long as you continue to play the right way...hang in there.

I use REKO 6D Full. It has a few more indexes, but I think they're worth the extra memorization, plus they are risk averse indexes. Since you already play KO Full it would be really easy for you to pick up a few more of the REKO 6D Full indexes, or all of them, if you're interested. They're easy to find in Norm's book.

If your games have hand shuffles, and you have not already considered it, maybe research shuffle tracking? It turned a potential losing session for me tonight into a winning one.

I went through the exact same thing man. 1.5y later I’m deep in the green and black chipping. It will be better when you are able to do green chips.

I agree with you for once, but just remember he could be the 1/100 counter that loses his whole bankroll (provided a 1% ROR). Cheering up for him he’s not.

I suspect we, and other members, agree on far more than we disagree on...that primarily being the 100% optimal play 100% of the time matter...which, of course, is subjective to each player.

I hope so, I'm becoming jaded towards this game. Intellectually I trust the math but it seems like the last 8 months the dealer just always wins.

Then maybe you should begin trusting the dealer?
