On my first road BJ trip, heading home, holding at a small town motel waiting for the weather to clear up before driving home in the a.m. 5 nights, 4 days, 25 hours played, won $1900 which after rather higher expenses is about $1400.

I was thinking of the forum and how math and logic is revered and thus, a good AP (which I am not), is probably one that does not believe in any superstitions. So are you sometimes superstitious? Here are some I fall into...in no particular order

1. I sometimes switch spots even when playing heads up....as if a spot is bringing me bad luck.

2. As I drive up the parking garage, I sometimes park on the floor where, when last played, I had won, avoid the floor where I had lost.

3. I sometimes pick the clothes, the polo shirt and the particular jeans that I had won in on my last outing. So too, the cap/hat.

4. I sometimes stay at a motel again if I had won the last time.

5. I stack my chips and change the way the stack looks if I lose several hands in a row.

6. If I place a chip and I win, the dealer places the chip next to my original bet, I often ensure to leave the original winning chip in the circle, pick up the chip the dealer places.

Care to share your own superstitions? Not what some Asian believes, your own?
