    Trespassed

I was trespassed from a casino in Las Vegas last year and told that this applied to all other properties under the same ownership. Any idea if this is actually legally binding within the state of Nevada and more specifically to the sister properties in other states?

In general, most States do not enforce other State's laws. Normally, enforcement of State laws are limited to the geographic boundaries of their State's borders and have no applicability outside their State. However, there can be exceptions and you should contact the county prosecutor's office for confirmation in the jurisdictions where the other properties are located.

I am not an attorney, or offering legal advice, but I was a federal law enforcement officer for 25 years before I retired...so I do have some experience in law enforcement.

Not sure how legally binding it is. But if they have you flagged as trespassed in their Corporate database these days...then you will have difficulties playing any stakes at any of their properties.
But it is very hit or miss...depends on who is looking at the screen at any given moment.

    IANAL and all that stuff....

My understanding is that yes, you would be trespassed from other casinos with the same ownership. HOWEVER, you have to look at and see who the "owner" actually is. Caesars Palace LV is owned by Vici Properties, according to Wikipedia, but operated by Caesars Entertainment. Wikipedia says Flamingo is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. MGM Grand is owned and operated by MGM Grand International. Bellagio is owned by The Blackstone Group (and operated by MGM Grand International). AFAICT, being 86'd from Caesars Palace means you're 86'd from Vici Properties. That has no bearing on Flamingo since, well, the owners are different. Same applies to MGM Grand an Bellagio.

Again, IANAL and that is simply my understanding of how it (legally) works. I might be off base and have mis-interpreted something along the lines.

That being said, the casinos don't really treat it how they should. In one regard, they'll likely just re-trespass you from the casino if you return (to the same one you were 86'd from), although I'm 99% sure they could detain you and have you arrested for trespassing. If you're trespassed from one property and go to a sister casino (with different owners), you'll likely just get trespassed and told to hit the road....but they also might try to (illegally) detain you and have you arrested for trespassing.

Late in 2019, on my last day, just before returning my car and heading to the airport, having already decided to quit for the day but very interested in the end of a football game, I pulled into one of the smaller casinos of the largest “locals” chain. I walked in, saw a TV right next to a red chip DD table, sat down, cashed just the loose $65 dollars I had. I started betting the $10 min., playing anonymously, watching the game, varying my bet to $15-$20 (only once did I put a $25 bet out). I was maybe up $70 in about 30 minutes when the pit guy came over, told me I was banned from playing BJ at all the locals chain properties. I went to cashier, cashed my chips, hung around to watch games and left.

I had not been at that property in months. I had, however, been driving from one property to another of the chains other properties for 2-3 days earlier, playing short sessions of $25 DD games, winning most of them, walking away with $300 to $500.

I don’t know if he was serious and that I won’t be able to play on that entire casino chain. I did not have time to go to another and try. Next trip there is in March, hopefully they will not have banned me everywhere. Facial recognition software makes it difficult to fool with glasses and caps. I did call me of the chains properties to see if my comps were still valid and was told that I had comped room offers from that chain at several of its other properties.

Being banned from BJ across a chain is very different than a trespass. If you're banned from BJ, all they do is stop your play. If you're trespassed, there are potential legal consequence if you return.

I disagree... 2 trips to Vegas ago, I was flatbet so I stopped playing then. Last trip I forgot my caps and I went to the same joint, within 10 min sitting down playing unrated I was told by the floor manager I was flatbet.

I bought a cap and was able to put around 4h of play extra on that joint on the same trip on different shifts. FR is heavily overrated. Wear a cap rally low, play short sessions and heat is gone.

I presume you're referring to trespass. It depends. If it's CET, no, because almost every one of their casinos is owned by a different holding company. To the best of my knowledge, a casino trespass within Nevada has never been prosecuted. But I'm not an attorney. Suggest you read Bob Nersesian's book.
