CVBJ - wonging out without bet error

Hey all - I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. But I can't get CVBJ to understand that I don't want to bet when the count is -2 or lower. I've checked "use back-counting table" and "enter shoe multiple times" and done lots of different entries for the "in" and "out" figures in the back counting table, but anytime I leave my bet circle empty it registers a bet error and says I should be betting my minimum. What do I need to do?
