    Downtown

-Golden Nugget is the Best, I also stayed in Fremont which was fine. Fremont will have lower rates.

If you are renting a car, look into non-casino hotels or an airbnb.

Just how sweaty is Main Street Casino & Hotel? I found this unusual review on Trip Advisor.

I got upgrades at the El Cortez to the Cabana Suites across the street on two separate occasions. I just complained that the regular building was too loud and they upgraded me for free. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. I paid something ridiculous like $9 on Hotwire (weekday of course). The resort fee was $16.

“Real Aap’s Don’t even bother wasting there time” on this forum, so what are you? Probably 21, thinks he knows what and how real AZp’s think, insults forum members by saying they are not real AP’s.....idiotic.

    Try Downtown Grand

Reasonable games, good comps and nice rooms.

    I agree

When you call, ask if they can waive the resort fee....(tell them Plaza is waiving theirs, but you heard better things about the Grand.

Also, let me check my old emails. I thought Plaza and Golden Nugget were running specials on rooms and they waived the resort fee.

Send me a PM or provide your email address and I'll send you the info.

In my case, in order to get cheap enough airfare I have to travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday with a Sat night stay over. I wish I could just go Monday to Friday, but then the airfare is outrageous without that Sat night stay over.

The room I checked prices on were for double queen or standard double. Here are the results for total cost including all fees and taxes.
    Downtown Grand: 7 nights $787.47 or $112.50 a night
Main Street Station: 7 nights $659.85 or $94.26 a night
    California Hotel: 7 nights $750.25 or $107.18 a night
Plaza Hotel: 7 nights $671.72 or $95.96 a night (also has free shuttle to airport)
4 Queens: 7 nights $571.68 or $81.68 a night (this includes AARP discount)

I really don't want to be in a noisy area. Any suggestions on these hotels. I ruled out Golden Nugget as too expensive. Would be almost a thousand for 7 nights.
    Hi Midwest

If you want to avoid the noise on Fremont street, and also save money, I would suggest renting a car for a couple of days and spending Fri. and Sat. in Laughlin. Laughlin rooms should be much more reasonable, and the only really noisy nights are the weekends on Fremont. This will also give you the opportunity to scout and play more casinos having a rental for a few days.

Every few months Sun Country has a charter flight out of the U.P. to Laughlin. I've taken it several times and it covers the flight and hotel stay for only $379. The last few times I've taken it I had comped trips so my cost was nothing otherwise its only $379. However, the problem is it sells out within hours of going on sale. They are offering a flight out of the U.P. at the end of March and it is already sold out and the flight times are not even posted yet.

Now a trip to Vegas will cost me about $1,200. The hotel will cost about $700 and the flight about $500. So Laughlin is a good deal if you are lucky enough to get thru and make a reservation.
