Does the casino's ambiance matter to you?

The first casino where I ever played blackjack was the Stardust back in 1978. The Stardust had a dark, muted atmosphere. I felt like I was playing in a scene from the Godfather. Since then I've always prefered that type of ambiance when I play and I seem to do better in that type of environment.

If you're too young to remember the Stardust, NYNY has a similar setting.

I know it's psychological and has nothing to do with the way the cards fall but all the same I just feel more like a winner in that milieu. Does anyone else have a preference for the lighting where you play or is it just me?

The Golden Gate downtown also has a different vibe. The HL room pit guys dress like Mobsters of the 30’s.

I like dark casinos. Sahara was the darkest I remember. Also the old Sands. I have always hated smoke. If I pass a person on the street smoking, I hold my breath. I just want the old Binion's.

I like to have a good vibe where I play. Having degens and people that bitch about everything when playing brings bad karma. Good tunes, decent place, friendly dealers (not to chatty) and decent games that are high enough minimums to keep the ploppies away.

High enough mínimums that keep ploppies away... amen to that. Unfortunately my local casino is in a very touristy area and ploppies venture even to the $100 limit tables one weekend prime time... sigh...

Overall I don’t care about the place if there is a good game, but I like Caesars Palace for the Tier A drinks available for free.

Now if I had to chose... I’d make the Wynn at Las Vegas with their insanely gorgeous cocktail waitress standard give some proper penetration... lol

I don't need there to be any type of Godfather vibe. But I definitely agree with you. A dark casino, or bar is always better.
Lights burning your eyes, and everything else bothers the hell out of me.
It's a casino tactic I think. I always make sure to complain about it to them.

I like darker (but not too dark) and more compact casinos. I’m thinking of GN downtown LV as an example.

I enjoy most casino vibes when talking about the decor. It's the other players that seem to have more impact on my lasting impression than the decor. I tend to dislike casinos full of fat, ugly twats who slow play and fart about wasting my time. If the game itself is great of course, then beautiful is as beautiful does. But I'll always prefer places full of human beings rather than dickheads.

What does this have to do with the thread?

i don't like beautiful dealers or cocktail waitresses ( just average looking) at casino , i don't go there for any of that , besides they are a distraction. After i made money then i can go to places that have that if i do care. i only want good opportunities and non sweaty places.

Although, it is a pleasant distraction at that, isn't it?

"if I do care" That is a good one. Sounds like something Adam shifty would say. Could be the ladies get you coming or going. I am curious about your handle stopgambling is that because of the need for a loose woman at times?
