True, but there are small meetings and LARGE conventions. You can also see where they take place, so you know which casinos/part of town is going to be busy, if it's a smaller one.

For example, if you look at this weekend, there are 100 psychiatrists at Wynn and 20,000 pharmacists at MGM props. If you look at Jan 7, 2020, there will be 180,000 attending the CES. That's a good time to avoid.

And here's one for Zee - The Adult Entertainment Expo on Jan 27 at Hard Rock. Anyone see the movie, "The Girl Next Door"? It's related to this show and a funny movie (Elisha Cuthbert, before she got fat, and Emile Hirsch).

Thanks! Yes, I don't know any Las Vegas convention (only hear of them e.g. in TBBT or CSI LV TV series :-), but the sheer number of attendees and locations should be enough to get an imperession. I guess that 100 psychiatrists are not so disturbing than 20000 pharmacists (hmmm, who knows? ;-)

There is one downtown casino that people who visit Las Vegas know, where mostly young women deal while behind them, girls dance on tables, all skimpily dressed. All of them wear plunging necklines.

Is the end of the year, December 29-31, a crowded time comparable to big conventions and fights or are they not too busy? I am in the San Francisco area, considering flying in for 3 days.

20,000 doesn't matter much, 180,000 does definitely crowd things up just like 21forme said. You don't even play, so why would care?

Expect at least 330,000 visitors. They close the Las Vegas strip. Might be fun, but probably not the best playing conditions.

The fact that I don't play doesn't imply that won't play in the future.

Actually, nothing is going on in Vegas Christmas week. But, for some odd reason, car rental rates are up to $50+ per day. Rental sites say "high demand"......BS

The fact that you don't even play the game, just always makes me question why you are one of the most frequent posters on all forums? I just don't understand at all. Do you think you are the person to be giving advice on every thread? You have never even played... don't you think that matters??
Do you even realize that some posters here have written some of the most important books/programs/posts in like the last 30 years?
Honestly, why do you think people here want to hear from someone that HAS NEVER ACTUALLY PLAYED BEFORE?
There are newbies here that lose their entire bankroll listening to wrong advice.
I welcome anyone to post, but you are getting old guy.
