    He did state it clearly as to what the rules were. He could easily have got it wrong - it’s happened many times before. I covered both scenarios.

    But who has ever played at a casino that prohibits surrender against a six, while allowing it against other cards? That just doesn't make sense. Invariably ES10 games allow surrender against any card except Ace. Of course it is possible, but more likely OP misspoke.

    Does ES10 change any basic strategy plays? For reference, my city has 6deck H17 DAS DOA RSA to 4 hands ES10

    Of course it changes basic strategy. ES all 14s (including 7,7), 15, and all 16s (including 8,8).
