    Story Time

I'd like to hear horror stories you all have about blackjack and playing. A lot of people like talking about how successful of players they are, what about the rough side? Extensive losing streaks, early days, gambling before APing, big losses, emotional betting, etc. What made you want to say I'm done playing like a dumbass and I'm going to learn how to beat the game?

I have horror stories in ever aspect

gettinf 81k of chips refused to cash out (only 1k was profit USA casino)

trumped up charges of idenity theft and looking a min of 3 years of prison. I had to take a plea just to stay out of jail but let me tell you it was a complete bogus charge

ripped out of my car by Canadian customs and strip searched.

getting addicted to high action bets and 4/5 years once I’m too burnt to lay big money down and start play baccarat and lose about 1.5 and go broke and have to take a loan to start grinding again once I processed all my truama.

there is a lot more but I think these serve as good starting points

I’ve never been refused cash at cash out, though I’ve been asked for name and address at the cage, probably 4-5 times. However, large cash holdings and crossing border points are interesting AP scenarios.

If you get abused by the cops, you can sue them. You have no recourse with either Canadian and US customs. They can do whatever they like. i Know Goatlife has crossed borders multiple times carrying large amounts of cash. I’m curious as to his alleged transgressions that would cause that type if border response.

So, are you still addicted or have you made changes that keep you from risky behavior that can leave you broke or in jail?

I finally just emerged from a 200 hour losing streak. Everyone and everything said it would happen one day and I just had my date with it.

What does it really mean? You lost 200 consecutive sessions? You went into a casino multiple times, coming out each time having lost ? Or simply that it took you 200 hours to get back to your last high?

My most recent one was almost 400 hrs (398 hrs to be exact). I had a -57K downswing, hitting the rock bottom of that losing streak on the 137th hour (since losing). It took me the next remaining 261 hours to recoup every bit of that 57K back, plus make a whopping $476 on top. Had a good trip just recently, so now I’m at a new career ATH and a little over 10K above my last ATH.

200 hours without a bankroll high. After 200 hours at the table, I had lost money. I’m finally back in the black after my last trip.

This is the chart that tracks all of my play. This my life-time results since day 1.

The parts I marked up show the losing streak I mentioned in my last post. From top to bottom of that streak, I lost $57,630.50. I was at the rock-bottom of that losing streak 137 hours into it. It took the remaining 261 hours (398 total) to climb back out on top and come out +$476 ahead, since before the losing started. Now I'm currently at a new career ATH that sits $10,230 above my last ATH. But that losing streak really sucked.

But at least the diagram shows a clear overall upward tendency. My biggest fear is to have a losing streak right at the beginning. Yours was after you had reached a quite comfortable high level.

If you have the necessary bankroll it doesn't matter when it comes.
