    150 hours played

I have been playing $50 limits in a high limit area. 3 of the last 4 sessions I have been up a grand but did not walk away. These last 4 sessions have all been losing sessions and I am currently down 5k. I am finding myself questioning if i am not walking away and making trips too long. Also, I am questioning if I have what it takes to play. I am very confident that I am making the right decisions, but I am worried I am staying too long on sessions. If I continue to play I was going to approach it as up 500 after two hours leave, up 1000 ever, leave. Has anyone else experienced this and have advice?

Leaving just because your up makes no sense. Just make the plays regardless of whether your up or down. Losing sucks but it is just part of it. I just played 60 hours and I am down 5 max bets (playing to 200 max bets for total roll). I lost most of that in one hot shoe. So yeah its easy to start questioning everything but you just have to keep on trucking.

You can't possibility be the greatest card counter in the galaxy. ZenKing claims he is so the title is already taken.

The cards don’t know if you play for 30 hours straight or stop and then come don’t come back for a year. The cards don’t know what your bankroll is at when you stop playing and they don’t remember that figure when you start again.

Stopping at a certain loss or win is 100% meaningless. It is all one giant lifetime session.

And why, exactly, would you do that, when Halves already counts the 7 as +1??

Because of the Blazing Sevens side bet. Max pay out is the progressive jackpot. I am considering incorporating into my game.

If you have played 4 long sessions of several hours each, in the HIgh Limit room, it’s likely you have some flaws in your game or they would have made you as a serious card counter. In my opinion, simple card counting is okay to the casino as long as they view you as betting poorly, not having a sufficient BR or playing in poor table conditions with poor rules.

You can get better advice, comments and suggestions from some of the great folks on this forum if you were to share more info. Was it DD or 6 deck, penetration, number of folks at a table (matters, especially in DD), your bet ramp (I suspect it’s weak) and the rules. Playing $50 tables would mean larger swings than just 1-2k.

Yes, right. I've never personally known anyone who actually uses the fractions. The doubling is so much easier. And when that is done, the indices are virtually identical to the RPC.

I’ve always used fractions. Also, indices are virtually identical to hi lo, which is what I started with.
