But you make a good point of playing multiple hands. Does this number go up for received hands on the players behalf?

So basically...How many hands is the player receiving per deck in a 1v1 situation? Does this number increase as the number of players/hands being played increases?

For rounding sake I’ll say 10 hands per deck in a 1 hand vs dealer. Fun. About 50 decisions per 8 decker maybe less maybe more obviously depending when they stop for a new shoe on average.

Yea Zee it’s not for cc purposes bc I don’t. It’s to help realize how many hands you will get in.... Or have played.

    Thanks everyone for your input.

    Don and PinkChip,

Some tables have been appearing recently with sidebets on whether the dealer will bust: on these, if anyone plays the sidebet, the dealer will finish her hand even if all of the players' hands are BJ's and/or busts.

    Hope this helps!

What if the side bet is only occasionally played?

Roughly 9-10 hands per deck 1v1 (Your one hand vs Dealer) 3 hands played is about 5 hands per deck and with 6 hands being played chewing threw a deck every 2-3 hands - If you practice your deck estimation it can be quicker than trying to track hands played

It helps, as always :-) I would have forgotten the side bet issue, although I know of a casino which offered or still offers the "dealer bust" bet (5:2 or 2.5 : 1 payoff, about 1.3 % house edge for S17 - for H17 it would even become a positive EV since the dealer bust rate would then slightly exceed 2/7 = 28.57 %) and the "dealer will get a natural" bet (19:1 payoff, about 5 % house edge). Unfortunately it's CSM.
