    Move

After living in the same place for 30 years, I am moving this month. This will not disrupt the site as the server is in another state. However, I may experience spotty communications and will be a bit disorganized for a time. Apologies in advance if I'm late answering emails, etc.

At least you left your mark on all the workers in the building. From the cleaning people, the elevator man, the doorman right down to some of the taxi drivers. They are now all Advantage Players having all received the Verite products as Christmas gifts at one time or another. I know, it is one of my old jokes from another board sorry for the repeat.

They do very well at Christmas, and therefore stay here forever. A few years ago, the board hired new management and the new manager ordered the staff to address all residents by their last names. I complained saying that I had known most of them for decades and did not like the forced formality. The staff ignored the rule anyhow.

Movin' on up to the East Side. Knew what that video was before it started. Actually, this feels like a major move since anything in NYC requires massive paperwork and approvals. They even require training paperwork for dogs and "interview" them. I'm just moving to a different condo in the same building and still had to go through the processes. As it's on the East Side and a higher floor, I guess the song kinda fits.

Norm, the U.P. is waiting for you. Your dog can shit and pee wherever he wants with the possible exception of the sidewalk on main street. Come to think of it he can shit there too as long as you pick it up. If you don't pick it up and somebody takes a picture of you expect a fine. The person taking the picture will get a reward, but in the winter no one cares and in 15 minutes the dog turd will be frozen as hard as a rock.

And I was hoping you were finally leaving NYC behind and moving to the magnificent western USA, just in time to avoid another miserable east coast winter.

Had a very dear friend raised in the Bronx, journalism degree, worked for NY Daily News. Moved to Texas for Dallas Times Herald (RIP). Marveled at the cows and first thing he bought was the biggest gun he could think of. Chrome S&W .357. His widow gave it to me.
Norm, good luck on your (semi) move... LOL. 'Cept any move SUCKS!
