Rec player here...So some of you guys are into cover plays. I was wondering if anyone had some good quotes to make you seem like an idiot. Even if you already are. Lol jk.

Looking for quotes to make you seem like the biggest idiot for funsies. We need no doubt after the quote that saying it means you’re a complete moron. No questions asked.

A good one I heard the other day was a 16 v dealer 10. The ploppy goes...”You never hit 16 ever.” In dead serious mode.

Another good one I heard was...”I always hit with 13.”

“Well you had 15 so you had to hit against the 6. There was nothing you could do.”

Any good “wise guy” quotes out there?

Ploppy girl after winning several hands in a row, exclaims - it usually comes in spurts. What a coincidence, I quipped.
Asking a ploppy if she would mind me playing behind her, she exclaims...ummm...errr..... I’m married.

I once worked in a convalescent home where old old guys would be given towel baths while lying in their hospital like beds. There were a few guys, barely able to move, who would try to grab the nurse’s hand and take it to their flaccid 80+ old dicks. The nurses would break free, through the wash towel on the bed and ask us, male orderlies, to Finish up on the “sick bastard”. I sometimes think you will end up like those old guys.....

Well you are right. The person “to the right of the dealer” (no mention of 3rd base) usually decides whether the dealer will bust and everyone wins at the table....LOL.

As a side note, it was actually a blackjack dealer many years ago who pointed out to me 666 was a sign of the devil. I didn't know that.

I once ended up with four 6’s, all split against a 4, had another 6 on one of the 6 that Zi stood on, lost all 4 hands so there must be some truth to it.

One of my favorite ploppy quotes is that you need a “strong anchor at third base” to take the dealer down. Makes my skin crawl every time I even think of it.

Absolutely. I once failed my duty as a third basemen by hitting my 13 vs a dealer 10 and taking the 10 that would have busted the dealer’s 15. I was promptly and rightly yelled at by an Asian man who clearly knew much more about the game than me.
