I do think most folks also have a nest egg in case they need it, and if you don't I suggest you take part of your $80,000 bankroll and make it your nest egg.

I can't understand why you have $80,000 that is just sitting there not earning any income. Take $10,000 to $12,000 for a playing bankroll and invest the balance in a money market account or some other liquid investment and earn some interest. Just $50,000 invested at 2 percent interest will give you a $1,000 in interest per year.
I am too damn old to stash anything anywhere. I kept holding on to the cash, hoping I will learn to play higher stakes but I never got comfortable playing $50 min tables or placing $300+ bets. So, if I spend, sat $50k of it, most likely, will buy a used GTR or Porsche.

i come from a background where no males lived past 80 (My Dad passed away at 80, my uncles in their 70’s) so , being in my last decade, gonna just get myself an Apple watch (5th gen) tomorrow, a dream car one of these days.

What does buying a car or getting a watch have to do with missing out on an easy $1,000 a year. A money market fund is a completely liquid investment, and even though interest rates have come down some lately you can still get 1.77%. And with just a few clicks of your mouse, you can transfer money from a money market account to your checking account and have it available the next day.

Oh, by the way, I bought a nice Timex watch for $29.95 from Amazon. It will even light up at night if you push a button on it. I actually have two cars one is 11 years old and the other 4 years old. In 3 more years I will probably buy a new car for cash when I max out the $3,500 free money on my GM card. But I also have a nest egg set aside that would let me buy 10 new Cadillac's if I wanted. No desire whatsoever.

However, the wife just laid down the law and said she wants snow tires on the car this winter. Its going to cost me $1,000 and I will probably buy the Bridgestone Blizzak tire. However, I just found out if I pay with my GM card I can get a $200 rebate, but have to do it by Nov 30th.
