    Hope I am not out of line asking a poker question here.

    In Texas hold um do the players "must" use both their hole cards to make the best hand possible? On another board this link was posted and in the second hand played it seems that the rule is different.

    In holdem "no" it's the best 5 cards regardless. If the board is AAA Q and you have A10 you play the Q on the board as your kicker. The 10 in your hand has no value

    In the video posted board KQJ10 clubs. The guy with AA only used his A clubs for the royal flush. If he didn't have a club, the other guy just using his 9 clubs would win with a straight flush....9 thru K

    You can use one, none, or both of your hole cards.

    It's "Omaha" where you MUST use 2 hole cards and 3 community cards. Difference is you're dealt 4 and not 2.

    Please refer me to books, websites that teach about poker that worth reading. I google but many junks out there. I was backed off from BJ at 4 out of 5 local stores so I want to learn poker. Any suggestion is appreciated. Many casinos even let their dealers play poker when off duty, including break time!

    in hold em you can use 2, 1 or 0 of your hole cards
    in omaha you must use 2 and exactly 2 of your hole cards
