Can you trust hotel room safe?

There are YouTube videos indicating that room safes are easily opened. I don’t know if I should continue using them and leaving $10k in the safe while a I am out playing.

What do you think? Leaving in rental car parked outside may not be wise. Getting a belt and using that has its complications when getting a massage ((or a hot lady invites you up to her room).

When on a trip, say Las Vegas or AC, where do you keep your trip BR (session BR is in your wallet).

Just use the safe and don’t invite any “hot lady friends” up to your room. You’re just asking to be robbed then.

I was asking me the same just today. Where do you guys store your trip bankroll when on tour?

I would like to come to Vegas from Europe next year but don't know if I could get into trouble when carrying more than 10000 on a plane (should I have more on my way back ;-), nor how to safely store my money (cash and chips) during my stay there.

    - should I use hotel room safe? (of course no hook-ups or "ladies")?
    - shoulf I use the hotel safe at the reception?
    - should I rent a safe at a bank?

I even considered opening a bank account in the US or wire transfer money to Europe using Western Union (should I have more than 10000 on my way back). In Europe, I can electronically transfer up to 12500 Euros between bank accounts in one country and the other, without triggering questions. In Switzerland, rules of carrying cash seem to be more liberal, in that you are not obliged to announce money higher than 10000 to the customs office unlike when explicitly asked for, but I still have to investigate this topic. Anyway the U.S. is probably more restrictive.

If you are really concerned about room safes.
    Carry your stash with you
Get a safe deposit box at the casino cage
    Use casino credit lines

on your last day of the trip . store it safely with a casino that you only intend to mess around . this has to be all planned out just like an AP trip.

    Zee
Open an account at the Sperm Bank. Then, you can wire transfer. Should be safe and convenient. Speaking of safes, check out Trojan Games. Studying technique should improve eye hand coordination.

Should be worth an unhelpful or 2.

I remember someone saying they were staying at a Hotel and realized that the safe was literally held by steel ROPE. They said that their friend and they joked that all someone would have to do is yank really hard and would be able to walk off with their safe. I thought,"That's really not funny." They then posted right after that in the next sentence," Really not that funny of a joke." As if prereading viewer's minds.

If I were you, I'd keep my money in banks, the safest place you can put it in. Much safer than a safe that can be stolen....

I had a friend that stayed at Circus Circus a couple years ago. He had approx. $35k in their safe. Unfortunately, he had an accident that left him in a coma for several days. Upon awakening, and long past his intended check-out from Circus Circus, he returned there to collect his belongings. Front desk was very apprehensive about letting back to the room to collect everything. They indicated security would go get his stuff. They returned with only his passport and no cash, claiming there wasn't any. Now, I'm not implying anything, but perhaps staff at Circus Circus became $35k richer.

The problem with banks is that you can't get enough money with a debit card, and the banks are likely to be closed at inopportune times.

Hotel room safes are not secure, in the slightest.

That said, leaving it in your rental car probably isn't the brightest idea.

ATM's with a bank that has a high cash withdrawal and deposit limit is your best bet, and keep a small locked box in your belt with the cash.

Your daily ATM bank withdrawal limits can be negotiated, to a significant degree, requiring only good credit to get what you want.

Correct. I've only hit my withdrawal limit twice, both when I was withdrawing cash for me and someone else (who was paying me back via Venmo). I just had to call my bank and they had it fixed within 5 minutes.
