When will Wendover allow Double on any two again?

I have a comped trip to Wendover in a month and am quite excited to unleash Hi Opt 1 with Ace Side Count on them. It's been two months since they switched to only Double on hard 9-11, no soft doubling. A dealer at Montego Bay on my last trip informed me that they changed it because the owners were upset that some high roller won $26,000 from them and that he thinks they will change it back. I have personally seen ploppies in Wendover make or attempt doubles on all of the following:

    9 vs 8
    8 vs 7
    10 vs 10, TC nowhere near +5
Hard 12. Seriously saw a guy Double Hard 12 every time he got it back when it was Double any two. Dealer announced "doubling on breaking hand" every time he did it.

Talk to your host. if there's no definitive answer, tell him/her you want to cancel your trip and you'll return when they fix the rules.

Still SD with a ton of comps, and still the closest casinos to me, so I'll happily play even these worse rules, but I've gotten quite good with my soft doubling, typically the last part of Basic Strategy one learns, so it would be nice to have old rules back. Although, maybe heat goes down with worse rules.

This is the problem when rules get worsen. Ploppy would are still willing to play! This is what gives the casino the power to make the rules the way it is.

When Wendover went to D10 a few years ago even ploppies got mad. They changed back to the original rules because ploppies were upset about not being able to get more action by doubling down often.
