From Vegas with respect-ongoing trip report.

I landed at McCarran Airport at almost midnight, last night on, for Las Vegas, a nice not hot night in October. I had a RT ticket for under $100, no other charges. Took the shuttle to the Rental Car building, picked up my EZ car for $153 total for the 4 day rental. I did not get my preferred Japanese or Korean car, got a diesel Volkswagen Passat. A diesel car for the very first time. (Bad omen?).

Drove down to my north strip casino hotel and checked in. Room 916, sheet, that adds up to 16, bad hand! My favorite room number is 1523 (total 11) and my best trip to Vegas was when I got that number and I won over $3k! I think I win more often when I get a room number that totals 9-11, lol!

Checked in a little pass midnight, put my baggage in room, headed downstairs for action, BJ action. I always try and give a little action to the casino that comps me.

Despite using a modest spread (1-5) on DD at $25 minimum, won $315 in about an hour. Got a snack at Starbucks and into my room. Sleep.

Today, Friday morning, left my room at 9:00 a.m., went down to casino, thought I would give them some more action, maybe leave booking a loss but at that time, no DD table open (they did not plan on opening one till 11:00), the only BJ table was a 6 deck one, full. I decided to move on.

I got in my car, turned on my Pandora, got John Prine singing “ It’s a goofy world”... beautiful day, cool for Las Vegas, sunny, clear blue sky, lovely mountains. Sometimes, I wonder why we should live in Missouri but family is settled there.

Drove down to a locals casino, still early morning. Sat down at a $10 minimum table with 2 others betting $10 every hand. I decided to start the shoe at $20, drop to $10 at negative counts. Since I had won my first session last night, I thought I would ramp up quickly. I just played one shoe! After first round, won the bet, count goes to TC+1, place the win on top, now betting $30. Next round TC+2, bet $60, won that, kept winning most hands, lost a couple but at the end of the shoe, was up to $295. By the last hand, the pit was looking on, only one BJ table in action anyway in a still early morning paltry crowd. I colored up and left.

First 2 sessions, both wins, was up $610 in just a little over one hour of play. About 60 minutes last night and 5 minutes this morning.

Drove back up Boulder highway to downtown, parked in the casino lot, took the elevator that takes you into the middle of casino. Only tables open were all $5 minimum, still quite empty. Normally, I ramp up slowly but I wanted to try to be bolder, given the success at the last casino. Sat down, playing solo. Put out $10 for first hand, won, count went negative (TC-1), down to $5, got 6,5 against a 5, doubled, got a 2, dealer had a 3 under, hit, got a 4, hit again, got another 4, hit again, got a 6 and I won my double, count quite positive. Placed $50 on top of my $20 in circle, won it. Again, by end of shoe, with Asian pit lady watching, I won $200 in that first shoe. They knew me so I was playing rated. I decided to leave, made a comment about being a diabetic, needed breakfast badly, be back shortly and left.

Walked down Fremont, played DD at one of the landmark casinos. It was almost Noon, more people about. Played DD at $25 minimum. I played my longest session, about 45 minutes, went down early by $500, crawled back and ended up winning $100. Interesting thing was playing with another person who bet $5 every time on the wheel side bet where if the player gets a BJ, a wheel is spun. The progressive bet was over $100k, the other prizes were $750, a few lesser and then there was $40, $50 and $70. The guy got a few blackjacks but the wheel only got him $40 and $50. I doubt if it ever gets higher amounts. Dealer said that in all the time she was dealing she only had one who got $750, most everyone got the smaller amounts. She did not think anyone won the progressive bet.

Ate lunch (Red curry) at Le Thai, went back to room for nap. What a trip so far, not a single losing session!

After lunch, played at the home casino, thinking I would quit soon as I was down any amount, book a loss. Played the $25 min. Table, got up $100 in 20 minutes, left. I just don’t want to win big at this casino as I need future comps.

I went to cash the free play coupon at the cage. They gave me a yellow $25 free play chip. I thought I would just play that. I stood by an empty DD table, placed the chip. Dealer dealt, I won and they simply replaced the $25 free play chip with a green chip. I let it ride, won the next one. I placed the 2 Green chips and got a 9,2 against a 4. I had just stopped to play the free chip but now I had to pull my wallet out and cash a $100 bill. I won that double, played through the shoe but ended up winning $50 and left. I never spread, just played $25 min thru the shoe. I just did not want to win at my home casino, made 3 attempts to book a loss but, so far, always ahead.

Drove down to a Boulder Highway, played $10 DD table for 30 minutes but the $10 tables got crowded, played 30 minutes, left up $80.

Went to another nearby casino and had my first loss! A big one too. Lost $960 playing DD for 75 minutes. Now, my great streak of winning sessions had ended with a big thud. I was still up but losses like this one really affect me. I lost several max bets against a dealer 2 or a bust card but with the bottom card, dealer ended up with 11, hit with 10 and my 20’s lost. Disgusting! I would blame the ASM but the dealer was hand shuffling!

It was still early so I drove further, ended up at a popular crowded casino but $25 table emptied quickly, I sat down. They knew me, or I did not like the way the pit looked at so I was playing with their players card. I had just lost at the last casino, but was still up a few hundred dollars so I decided to be aggressive (for me). Just minutes after my first big loss, I had an incredible single shoe where I only lost one hand playing solo through the entire DD shoe. In about 5 minutes, I had taken my $300 buy in to $1600, spread from $25 to $175, received a pair of 9’s against a 4 with the count way up and a $175 bet out, had split, received a 19 on first hand, a 2 on my 9 that I doubled (Pit was watching, I was playing rated) so I went into my act and with some reluctance opted to double for less ($100), hit it with a 10 (for effect, “I choked,”). In any case, I walked away up $1300, easily wiping out the $960 loss of a few minutes and few miles away!

On way back to my home casino, being charged up about a successful first day, I stopped at the Fremont Experience. Man, that place is a party place extraordinaire!

I played DD there for an hour, won yet another $600 in about 75 minutes.

Went back to my casino, thought I would book a small loss but again, at $10 min, DD table, I won &50 and went back to my room.

It’s a bit past midnight. I had actually sat at BJ tables for just 6 hours but after just counting money, I am up $2005 (after some meal, drink expenses). Great first 24 hours. Now, considering posting ongoing trip report instead of a delayed report weeks later.

If all of the details and dates are correct, you’re literally just thumbing your nose at everyone who has given you advice in the past. I have to say, aside from the stupidity of doing such a thing, I love the attitude.

How is it he remembers such detail, but makes the same basic strategy or index post 5 times because he forgot he asked that question?

I'm sure you looked up the expense of taking an early flight back home.

Paranoia strikes the pros. I am just a recreational gambler who visits Las Vegas a few times each year, barely wins in the big picture. Last year, in 8+ trips, I won about $1k after expenses. tYesterday was probably the best single day I ever had, it’s variance and as I start out today in about an hour or two, I expect it will not be so good. The casinos worrying about me is like Walmart worrying about someone who picks up a candy or two walking down the aisles.

In any case, post number #2, later tonight.

I assume you are aware that Walmart may decide to press charges against the person who picks up a candy or two. They may believe that will send a message to all of the other candy picker-uppers that frequent the same forum(s).

Wow, look at that 21... You caught the article in the 2 hour window Wave had it posted.

I'm going to write a bot that quotes all his posts as soon as it’s posted.

Wave, I don't understand why you post anything if you don't want anyone to read it? Most people don't hang around this forum 24/7 as if it were a chatroom.

    Go for it!
The most disruptive ones are the threads he started, got multiple responses, then deleted/or edited to blank his original post.

Think he'll take the hint and either leave his posts up or simply go away?

Zee, sounds like you're having fun and making a few bucks!! Good for you - keep it up and bring home 3K more than you left with.

    LOL good question.
Zee, in all honesty I didn't read all of your lengthy post. But it definitely seems like you are adjusting your sessions so that you end with a win. As people have been telling you for so many years...this is not a way to play that gives you much information.
Again with the pros vs. recreational players? It makes no difference. Even if you play at these tiny stakes...either you play the game correctly...or you don't. You can shape most any session into a win or a loss. But you seem not to ever want to learn anything. Honestly it seems you made this post just to get responses...it's kind of sad really.
