    CVCX or CVDATA

I decided that I would invest some money into blackjack software but I found myself at a crossroads. I could get CVCX for $95, CVDATA for $180, or both for $220. My main goal is for the ability of the software to input and sim the counting system of CKO (Color KO), a depth-based true count of KO. Past that, I only really care about bet ramps, indices, score, win/hour, risk, etc. Does anyone have any wisdom regarding these programs? Thanks.

Do you have Casino Vérité Blackjack? If not I recommend you get the package deal of both Casino Vérité Blackjack V5.6 & CVCX Price $170 (save $20). It has been mentioned here that CVDATA is harder to use than CVCX. Why don't you master the first two before moving onto something more difficult.

I have the mobile version of CV Blackjack as well as a shoe in real life I deal to myself frequently. I am comfortable with this as an outlet to practice and it has served me well. Now, I just need a software to calculate indices, betting ramps, etc. and the main concern of mine is the ability to sim the counting system I use.

To calculate indices CVData is mandatory.

Oh! Okay, that solidifies me getting at least the CVDATA/CVCX package. Now to decide on the training software. I have the mobile training software and a shoe that I deal to myself with chips for betting so I don’t have a massive need for the software. Although, with the package deal, it’s just $40 and it could test me accurately. It all really depends on how much more accurate/customizable the computer software is over the phone software. I can’t input the strategy/indices I use on the mobile so it’s slightly useless.

You can download demos at https://qfit.com/downloads.htm. Windows CVBJ is nothing like the mobile app. You'll find the Color of Blackjack strategy in the Dravot folder.

Am I an aberration or what? Do you need to understand physics and how an automobile works to drive one to where you want to go?

To be honest, I got carried away and bought the software as well as BJA3, but frankly, I never used the software much and while BJA has been useful, I don’t know that they are essential for those whose career is not in BJ. If I was to rank what I needed to be successful, the following gave me a good understanding of the count I use and how to play.

    1. Stanford Wong books.
2 BJ21, the forum in its heyday and its archives.
    3. BJTF and the folks who are here, who taught me some lessons through the harsh criticism. I was not afraid to post my mistakes, my trips, my decisions and they helped me by pointing out my irrational decisions. I learnt about game selection and picked up tips on BJTF.
    4. Whenever Don or someone brings up a specific page number or two on this forum, I go read those.

i did find out thru CVCX and optimal betting that I was often under betting. I got the basic gist of optimal betting, a rough idea of when to bet more. My challenge continues to be my own personality and my own weaknesses.

Bottomline, my opinion is that maybe you don’t need to spend so much on resources.

That post is so ridiculous Zee. No, you don't need to know "physics" to drive a car, but when you go to a gas station you'd better know what kind of gas to put in it.

You show up at a gas station and don't know what octane, how many gallons, or what a good price is.

In my experience, it's always easier to learn and retain information if you have an UNDERSTANDING of what you're learning.

Hey Norm-- I don't like being attacked. This all started back when BoSox was attacking smokers in general, and now he is attacking me specifically. It's time for this to end.

Edited to add: he continues attacking me when I have exactly zero to do with him. It's ridiculous.

Bosox suspended five days. Hopefully will return in a better mood.
