Poll: How Much Did You Make per Hr at Blackjack Over the Last 5 Years Before Expenses

A certain poster here is sticking up his nose at making $10 an hour at blackjack. I always thought $10 an hour at blackjack was nothing to sneeze about. Anyway, I got to thinking about how many folks are really doing quite well over a longer period of time, like say 5 years. I decided to do another poll covering the last 5 years. Lets make it the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and YTD for 2019.

This poll is similar to a poll I did last year that only covered 2018. You can see that poll here.

Note: This poll does not reveal your handle.

This poll is meaningless to me since the option "I didn't play casino bj during the last 5 years" is missing.

I'm not a full time pro...I'm a part time AP using blackjack as a way supplement to my retirement income...and make my wife happy with a few free dinners and trips every year.
You should understand that getting barred and "shoving it in their face" aren't always related. Don't kid yourself thinking you're immune.

    No, your choice is this:
Won $-0- thru $5.00 per Hour

That's a poor response because it doesn't indicate what someone is making playing BJ vs. not playing.

He acknowledged the tap will come.

I'm still new at attempting to play blackjack as a part time working towards full time AP. All my past play has been playing once a month and counting to know when to leave the table at high negative counts.

I don't keep records on playing by hours. I can only tell by the money in the drawer if I am ahead or behind for the year. That's all that matters to me. Whether it's $10 a hour or $500 a hour its all money. Since I don't work its all good. The years have been very good to me that's all I know.

Pink Chip, the poll was meant for those who have played at least some blackjack. In your case, since you have not played blackjack at all, you should not answer the poll. I know some folks here are just starting out and may not have played 5 years yet, but if you haven't played 5 years just answer for as long of a period as you have played.

The response isn't poor when it's accurate. The issue you're referring to results from a flaw in the survey's design.

That really makes the poll meaningless to you? Can't imagine why you'd say that. How about that person doesn't participate in the poll?!

I just was wondering what the purpose of the poll is. Is it to get a representative picture of the blackjack activity of all forum members or only of the active players. The poll seems to assume that everyone here is a part time or pro player, which is IMHO not the case.

    Purpose? It's an MWP poll!
